CARE FOR THE LAND
In Hawai’i, we learn the importance of mālama ‘āina – care for the land. This value is at the core of Hawai’i’s ancestral past where if we care for the land, the land will care for us. We do not own the land but are rather the stewards of it and future generations must take this to heart as well.
